Does the Great South Bay have a Leak?
Many South Shore residents are waking up to dry canals this morning due to the strong northerly winds, low tide and a pressure system over Long Island. These weather factors are creating a rare phenomenon of pushing the water out of the canals and into the Great South Bay. Once the winds and weather system passes, water levels will return.
