Stand by me, 1986

It’s amazing how transformative a particular song can be. Or better yet, be a time machine to a time, place and with people that have faded over the years, but hearing the beat, cords and lyrics bring back you with complete clarity of that one moment. The song “Stand by Me” brings me back to the movie which was my first "date” as a young teenager. Although the movie “Stand by Me” has the BB King version, the cover version by Stephen Wilson Jr. better fits the memory.
